Dr. William Carlisle
Dr. William Carlisle completed undergraduate studies at Prince Edward, Rhodesia. He graduated from Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis IN, in 1964, and was awarded the Sarah Wheaton Award for the most outstanding clinician.
Postgraduate studies include: completion of 350 hours of chiropractic orthopedics and chiropractic radiology and 200 hours of applied Kinesiology and Acupuncture. He is certified by the American Society of Acupuncture.
Dr. Carlisle founded the Carlisle Chiropractic Clinics in 1972. He has trained many young chiropractic physicians in the art of Chiropractic. He has served on the Board of Chiropractic Examiners for six years and was president for two years. His responsibilities included setting and grading exams for all potential chiropractic physicians entering North Carolina, desiring licenses to practice chiropractic. Dr. Carlisle is also a diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic. He is an active member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and has served on their board.
Dr. William Carlisle has seven sons, two of which have followed in his footsteps and are practicing chiropractic physicians. One of his sons, Dr. Michael Carlisle, practices with Dr. Carlisle in the South Clinic Office.
Dr. Carlisle is a member of Providence Methodist Church.
Dr. Michael Carlisle
Dr. Carlisle moved to Charlotte in 1996, from St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan Chiropractic College in 1996.
Dr Carlisle is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. He has performed clinical rotations at Montgomery Clinic, Yorkshire Spine Center and Harbor Light Community Clinic in St. Louis, MO.
In addition to general chiropractic medicine, Dr. Carlisle's special interests include: orthopedics, sports medicine and acute traumatic injuries. He has earned certificates of proficiency in clinical laboratory diagnosis, physiotherapy and radiographics.
Carlisle Clinic North
Dr. Henry Rice
Dr. Henry E. Rice is a 1979 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic located in Chicago, Illinois. His undergraduate education was at Pace University in New York State. Dr. Rice completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the National College of Chiropractic in 1977. In addition, he has completed 100 hours in Acupuncture Postgraduate Study and 360 hours of the DABCO program in orthopedics.
In 1992, Dr. Rice contributed to a Low Back Pain Research Study with the University of North Carolina Medical School. The study was directed by Dr. Tim Carey and published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Rice is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has been a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association since 1979.
He has been associated with the Carlisle Chiropractic Clinics since 1979 and is the Clinic Director at Carlisle Chiropractic Clinic North.
Dr. Rice has been active in the Executive Association of Charlotte since 1995.
Dr. Ferzaan Ali
Dr. Ali has recently joined Carlisle Chiropractic Clinic North as an Associate Doctor. Dr. Ali is a Charlotte native and graduated in 2003 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After his undergraduate, Dr. Ali moved to Kansas City, Missouri for his chiropractic education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2006.
While in chiropractic school Dr.Ali was selected to work in the prestigious externship program at Truman Medical Center and was awarded the Clinic Excellence & Service Award.
Dr. Ali has studied the most recent advancements in clinical research and contributed to a case study on conservative chiropractic treatment of veteran patients with paradoxical pulmonary hypertension
, under the direction of Dr.Chip Gowan at Kansas City VA Medical Center.
Dr. Ali is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is an active member in both the American Chiropractic Association and North Carolina Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ali brings a wealth of knowledge and personal commitment to Carlisle Chiropractic Clinic North.
Carlisle Clinic East
Dr. Roy Van Dyke
Dr. Van Dyke graduated with honors in 1988 from Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport, Iowa. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College. He is currently in the process of obtaining his 100 hour Acupuncture certification.
After Graduating from Palmer College, Dr. Van Dyke began practicing in Rockland County, New York where he was the owner of several private practices as well as the Clinic Administrator for Pomona Medical Care and Diagnostics.
In 2006 Dr. Van Dyke relocated to Charlotte where he is Clinic Administrator for Carlisle Chiropractic Clinic East.
