Case Study 1
Injury:
Fall from a roof in July 1999 resulted in a crushed heel bone.
History: The accident left the injured leg 11mm shorter than the uninjured leg. The difference in leg length was not diagnosed or corrected. By February 2006, there was debilitating pain in the lower back with radiating pain down the right leg. The patient’s ability to work had been compromised due to the continued pain.
Treatment: After diagnosis, the patient was treated with muscle stimulation and spinal manipulation. The initial treatment regimen was for 2 visits per week decreasing to 1 visit per month.
Outcome: The patient experienced some relief after the first treatment. Patient continued to improve over the 6 month treatment regimen until he is pain free today.
